What is Utilitiz?

A growing collection of free, browser-based tools. Every tool runs entirely on your device: no files, text or data are sent to a server.

There's no account to create, nothing to subscribe to and no software to install. Open a tool and start working.

Why use it?

  • Private by design. Nothing is uploaded; your files stay on your device.
  • No sign-up. Open any tool and use it straight away.
  • Free. Every tool, with no hidden costs.
  • Works everywhere. Any modern browser, on any device.
  • Always growing. New tools are added regularly.

Questions

Are the tools really free?

Yes. The site is supported by advertising. There are no premium tiers, subscriptions or hidden charges. The Obsidian plugins, theme and Firefox add-ons are free and open source too.

Are my files safe?

Yes. Everything is processed in your browser with JavaScript. Files are never uploaded, nobody else can see them, and they're gone when you close the tab.

Do I need an account?

No. There's no account system at all: no email, no password, no sign-up.

Which browsers work?

Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari and Opera, on Windows, Mac, Linux, iOS and Android. Internet Explorer isn't supported.

Is there a file size limit?

No set limit. The only limit is your device's memory.

How often are new tools added?

Regularly. Utilitiz started with PDF converters and now has calculators, image tools, text tools and sound apps, with more on the way.

Do the plugins and add-ons collect data?

No. They have no analytics or telemetry, and settings stay on your computer. Where one needs the internet (radio, films, Music For Programming), its README lists exactly which sites it talks to.
